In the heart of a vast, green jungle lived a mighty lion named Leo. Leo was respected by all the animals for his strength and courage. One warm afternoon, after a long hunt, Leo found a shady spot under a massive banyan tree and drifted into a deep sleep.
Nearby, a tiny, energetic mouse named Pip was scurrying through the grass. In his excitement, Pip accidentally ran up Leo's mane and tumbled onto his nose. The sudden movement startled Leo, who woke up with a thunderous roar. "Who dares disturb my slumber?" Leo growled, pinning the trembling mouse under his heavy paw.
Pip squeaked in terror, "Please, Great King! I am so sorry. It was an accident. If you spare my life, I promise I will find a way to repay your kindness one day!"
Leo laughed heartily. "You? A tiny creature like you helping me? That is a funny thought!" However, feeling amused rather than angry, Leo lifted his paw and let Pip scurry away.
A few weeks later, while patrolling his territory, Leo stepped into a trap set by hunters. A thick, heavy rope net fell over him, pinning him to the ground. Leo roared in frustration and fear, unable to break free. The sound reached Pip's ears.
Pip rushed to the scene. "Don't lose hope, my friend! I am here!" Pip shouted. Without wasting a second, Pip began gnawing at the thick ropes with his sharp little teeth. He worked tirelessly until the ropes finally snapped. Leo was free! Leo looked at Pip with deep gratitude. "You may be small, Pip, but your heart and your help were mighty. Thank you, my friend."
From that day on, the lion and the mouse were the best of friends.
Moral
No act of kindness is ever wasted, and no friend is too small to make a difference.
