In a peaceful village nestled near green fields, lived a milkman named Somu. Every morning, before the sun climbed high, Somu would milk his cows and carry heavy pots of fresh milk to the nearby market to sell.
Somu was a hardworking man, but he had one bad habit. Instead of saving the money he earned, he would often spend it on little treats and unnecessary things that he didn't really need. He never thought about the future.
One sunny morning at the market, Somu saw a merchant selling a flock of bright, healthy chickens. As he watched them, a grand idea began to grow in his mind. 'If I buy one of those chickens,' he thought excitedly, 'it will lay many eggs. From those eggs, tiny chicks will hatch. Soon, I will have a whole farm of chickens! I can sell them all and become the richest man in the village!'
Lost in this beautiful daydream, Somu forgot everything else. He stopped paying attention to the path beneath his feet and the heavy pot in his hands. In his excitement to imagine his wealth, he tripped over a small stone. The milk pot slipped from his hands and crashed to the ground with a loud thud. The precious milk spilled everywhere, soaking into the dry earth.
Somu stood there, staring at the empty pot in shock. He had lost his entire day's earnings in a single moment because his mind was in a world that didn't exist. He realized that dreaming of riches without working for them was useless. He learned that it is better to focus on the task at hand than to lose what you have while chasing shadows.
