In a lush green forest, there lived a crow named Kalu. Kalu was a clever bird, but he had a restless heart. He spent most of his time watching the mighty eagles that soared high above the mountain peaks. He envied their strength and the way they commanded the sky.
'If only I could fly as high as them and hunt with such power,' Kalu would sigh to himself. 'Everyone would look at me with respect if I were an eagle.'
One sunny afternoon, Kalu sat on a high branch, observing an eagle in action. He watched as the eagle dove like a lightning bolt, snatched a small rabbit from the meadow, and ascended majestically into the clouds. Kalu felt a surge of misplaced confidence.
'That looks so simple!' Kalu thought. 'I will show everyone that I am just as brave and strong as the eagle.'
Driven by this sudden impulse, Kalu flew down toward a group of goats grazing in the valley. He spotted a young lamb and, instead of looking for small insects or grains as crows usually do, he tried to grab the lamb's wool with his beak to lift it up.
But Kalu did not realize the massive difference in strength. As he struggled and flapped his wings wildly, the mother goats became terrified and angry. Seeing the bird attacking their young, the goats charged at Kalu with their sharp horns. Kalu, being small and untrained for such a fight, could not escape the flurry of hooves and horns. He fell to the ground, realizing too late that trying to be something he wasn't had brought him only ruin.
He had forgotten that true greatness comes from mastering one's own abilities, not by mimicking the impossible.
Moral
Do not try to imitate others blindly; understand your own strengths and limitations.
