Kavin was a brave mountain climber who loved exploring high peaks. One winter, he decided to climb the Great Frost Peak, a mountain known for its unpredictable blizzards.
As he reached a steep ledge, a sudden avalanche shook the ground. Kavin lost his footing and began to slide down the icy slope. Just as he felt he was about to fall into the abyss, his safety rope caught onto a sturdy rock. He was left dangling in mid-air, swinging helplessly.
A thick, white fog rolled in, making it impossible to see anything. Kavin couldn't tell if he was hanging hundreds of feet above a canyon or just a few feet above the ground. Terror gripped his heart. "Please, help me!" he cried out to the heavens. "Save me from this darkness!"
In the silence of his fear, a calm voice echoed in his mind. "Do not be afraid, Kavin. I am watching over you. To find safety, you must let go of the rope that holds you. Cut it, and you will find your way down."
Kavin froze. "If I cut the rope, I will fall to my death!" he thought in panic. He was too afraid to trust the voice, so he gripped the rope tightly and waited, shivering in the cold for hours.
When the rescue team arrived the next morning, they were surprised to find him. As they cleared the fog, they realized Kavin wasn't hanging over a deep gorge at all. He was dangling just two feet above a soft, grassy mound. If he had cut the rope, he would have landed safely on the ground.
Kavin realized that his fear had blinded him to the truth. He had been so focused on the danger of falling that he couldn't see the safety right beneath him.
