In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Kavin. He was fascinated by the wonders of nature, especially the colorful butterflies that danced through the gardens.
One sunny afternoon, while exploring the garden, Kavin spotted a cocoon resting under the shade of a large mango tree. To his delight, the cocoon was moving slightly. Inside, a caterpillar was in the middle of its amazing transformation into a butterfly.
Kavin watched closely, feeling a sense of wonder. However, he soon noticed that the caterpillar was struggling. The opening of the cocoon was too narrow, and the tiny creature was working incredibly hard to push its way out. It looked exhausted and stuck.
'Poor little thing, it’s working so hard!' Kavin thought. Feeling sympathetic, he decided to help. Using his small fingers, he gently tore a larger hole in the silk casing. Now, the path was wide open, and the creature emerged effortlessly.
But something went wrong. Instead of a magnificent butterfly with bright, strong wings, a weak and shriveled creature crawled out. It tried to flap its wings to fly, but they were limp and soggy. It couldn't even lift itself off the ground.
Kavin realized his mistake with a heavy heart. By removing the struggle, he had taken away the very process the caterpillar needed to pump fluid into its wings to make them strong. He learned that the hard work of overcoming obstacles is what prepares us for our greatest moments.
