The Seed of Goodness

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Leo and his grandfather. Leo's grandfather was a wise gardener. One sunny morning, he handed Leo a small pouch of special seeds. 'These seeds are precious, Leo,' he said. 'If you nurture them with care, they will bring you joy and abundance for a lifetime.' Leo was excited and planted them in his backyard. Every day, he watered them and watched them sprout. Soon, beautiful flowers began to bloom. However, one afternoon, Leo became so absorbed in playing games with his friends that he forgot to water his plants. He continued to play, forgetting his responsibility for several days. When he finally went to the garden, he saw the plants drooping and wilting. Leo felt a deep pang of regret and began to cry. His grandfather walked over and gently said, 'Leo, doing good is a great start, but forgetting to sustain that goodness is where the trouble begins. When we forget our virtues and duties, we lose the very things that make our lives beautiful.' Leo realized his mistake. He immediately began caring for the plants again, with even more dedication. Slowly, the garden flourished once more. Leo learned that practicing virtue is the greatest strength, but forgetting it is the greatest loss.
