The Boy and the Sun-Dried Worm

In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun was a very disciplined boy. He followed all the rules, studied hard, and always did his chores without being asked. However, Arjun lacked warmth. When he helped his friends, he did it strictly because it was 'the right thing to do,' without a single smile or a kind word. One afternoon, his grandfather, a wise man, sat him down under a shady tree. He showed Arjun a tiny, soft worm crawling on a leaf. 'Arjun,' Grandpa said, 'what do you think happens to this worm if it stays out in the scorching sun?' Arjun replied, 'It would dry up and die, Grandpa.' Grandpa nodded slowly. 'Exactly. Because it has no bones to protect its inner softness, the heat destroys it. Virtue is much like that. If a person does good deeds but has no love in their heart, those very deeds become a burden that burns their soul, just like the sun burns the worm. Doing good without love is like being hollow inside.' Arjun realized his mistake. He understood that being 'good' wasn't just about following rules, but about acting with kindness. From that day on, his actions were filled with warmth, and he found true happiness.
