The Garden Without a Scent

In a peaceful village lived a farmer named Samuel. He was a hardworking man with a large house and plenty of crops. However, Samuel’s heart was cold. He never shared a kind word with his wife, Martha, or his little son, Leo. To the neighbors, they looked like a perfect family, but inside their home, there was only silence. Samuel provided food and shelter, but he never provided warmth. One afternoon, Leo was tending to a small rosebush in the garden. He talked to the plant and watered it with care, and soon, the rose bloomed beautifully. Watching this, Martha sighed and said to Samuel, 'Our home is like that rosebush, but without the scent. We have everything, yet we feel empty.' Samuel realized that his house was like a withered tree trying to grow in a dry desert—it might look like it's standing, but there is no life within it. He understood that without love, a home is just a building. From that day on, Samuel began to speak with kindness and hug his family, and finally, their home began to truly bloom.
