In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was clever, but he had a habit of speaking very harshly to everyone. If someone made a mistake, he would snap at them without thinking. One afternoon, his friend Rohan accidentally spilled some water on Arjun's book. Instead of being calm, Arjun shouted, 'You are so clumsy! You ruin everything!' Rohan felt deeply hurt and walked away with tears in his eyes. That evening, Arjun's grandfather, an old and wise man, sat him down. He showed Arjun two things: a sharp, thorny branch and a soft, fragrant jasmine flower. 'Arjun,' his grandfather said gently, 'When you speak harshly, your words are like these thorns—they prick and hurt people. But if you speak the truth with kindness, your words will be like this jasmine—they will bring peace and joy to everyone.' Arjun realized how much his words had hurt Rohan. The next day, he approached Rohan and said, 'I am sorry, Rohan. I shouldn't have shouted at you. It was just an accident, and I value our friendship.' Rohan smiled brightly, and the heavy feeling in Arjun's heart vanished, replaced by a wonderful sense of peace.
