In a peaceful village lived two friends, Karthik and Rohan. They grew up together, but their hearts were very different. Karthik found joy in seeing his friends succeed. Rohan, however, felt a sting of bitterness whenever Karthik achieved something. 'How can he be better than me?' Rohan would mutter to himself.
One summer, the village announced a grand art competition. Karthik worked day and night to paint a beautiful sunrise. Rohan was also a talented artist, but when he saw Karthik’s masterpiece, envy clouded his mind. Instead of improving his own work, Rohan spent his time spreading rumors that Karthik had cheated. He tried to make Karthik look small in the eyes of the villagers.
But the truth shone brighter than any paint. The judges praised Karthik's soul and skill, and he won the prize. As years passed, Karthik’s fame grew, and he became a respected teacher. Rohan, trapped in his own resentment, stayed stuck in the same place, always watching others with a heavy heart. He realized too late that while he was busy trying to pull Karthik down, he had forgotten to climb up himself.
