The Strength of Kindness

In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Nearby, there was an old man named Madhav who lived a very disciplined life. Madhav often practiced fasting, showing everyone how much strength he had to endure hunger. 'My willpower is greater than anything!' he would proudly say. One summer, a terrible drought hit the village. The crops failed, and many families struggled to find food. Arjun noticed a little girl named Meera sitting by a well, crying quietly because she was too hungry to play. Arjun had only one small piece of bread left for his lunch. He was very hungry too, but seeing Meera's tears, he couldn't bear it. He walked up to her and gently gave her the bread. As Meera ate and a small smile appeared on her face, Arjun felt a warmth in his heart he had never known before. Madhav, watching this from afar, realized that while his ability to endure hunger was great, Arjun's ability to remove someone else's hunger was much greater.
