The Richest Heart

In a peaceful village lived two boys, Kavi and Rohan. Kavi came from a very humble family, but his heart was always full of warmth. Rohan, on the other hand, was the son of the wealthiest merchant in town. He had every toy and gadget a child could dream of. One afternoon, while walking through the village market, Rohan was busy showing off his shiny new marble collection to a group of kids, acting quite superior. Nearby, an elderly woman sat under a tree, looking frail and hungry. Kavi, who had a small bundle of rice and vegetables for his lunch, noticed her. Without a second thought, he sat beside her and shared his meal. As the old woman ate, a look of pure peace washed over her face. Kavi felt a glow of happiness inside him that no toy could ever provide. Rohan saw this and laughed, saying, 'Why are you sharing your tiny meal? You are still poor!' But as the sun set, Rohan felt empty despite his toys, while Kavi felt truly rich because of the kindness he had shared. The villagers often spoke of Kavi's golden heart, while Rohan's wealth only made him feel distant from others.
