In a peaceful village lived a young man named Karikalan. He owned a small, modest garden. Karikalan was hardworking and content, but his friend, Somu, was always chasing something more. Somu was consumed by a hunger for riches and luxury. One day, Somu approached him with a scheme. 'Why bother with this tiny garden, Karikalan? Come with me! I know a way to make a fortune overnight!'
Karikalan felt uneasy. The plan sounded greedy and dishonest. He decided to stay true to his duties and tend to his plants. Somu, however, could not resist the lure of quick wealth.
