The Wise Choice

In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun was quick-witted and very observant. He could tell you which bird would sing next or which way the wind would blow just by looking at the clouds. However, Arjun had no interest in books or formal learning. One day, the village's master craftsman, Mr. Raghav, decided to build a grand wooden gate for the village temple. Arjun ran to him and said, 'Mr. Raghav, don't use those joints! If you carve the wood this way, it will look much better!' Arjun's suggestions sounded very clever and logical to the villagers. But Mr. Raghav simply smiled and continued his work. A week later, after studying ancient architectural patterns, Mr. Raghav completed a gate that was not only beautiful but also incredibly strong. Arjun was confused. 'But Mr. Raghav, my ideas were so good! Why didn't you use them?' he asked. Mr. Raghav sat him down and said, 'Arjun, you have great natural intuition, and that is a gift. But in specialized crafts, even a brilliant idea lacks the foundation of proven knowledge. Wise people do not rely on the opinions of those who haven't studied the depths of a subject, because true wisdom requires both talent and learning.'
