In a peaceful valley lived two friends, Somu and Ravi. Somu loved learning; he spent his days reading books and understanding how the world worked. Ravi, on the other hand, was only interested in gathering gold and coins. He worked tirelessly and soon became the richest man in the village.
However, because Ravi did not understand how to manage his wealth or judge people's character, he fell into a trap. He invested all his money into a dishonest business scheme suggested by a stranger. Within months, Ravi lost everything. He was left with nothing but empty pockets and a heavy, broken heart.
Meanwhile, Somu lived a simple life. He had very little money, but he had vast knowledge. He used his wisdom to help farmers and teach children. Because people trusted his intelligence, Somu always had enough to live comfortably. One day, a broken Ravi visited Somu and said, 'I had mountains of gold, but my ignorance turned it into ashes. Your poverty looks much lighter than my lost wealth.' Somu smiled and helped Ravi begin his journey of learning anew.
