In a peaceful village lived two friends, Arjun and Leo. Arjun was calm and thoughtful, while Leo was quick-tempered and would react to everything immediately. One sunny afternoon, they decided to build a small wooden sailboat together. They were working very carefully when Leo accidentally bumped into Arjun’s hand, causing the delicate wooden mast to snap in half.
Leo immediately turned red with anger. "Watch where you're going! Are you doing this on purpose?" he shouted. Arjun felt a surge of heat in his chest. He wanted to yell back at Leo for being so careless. However, Arjun took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment. He thought to himself, 'If I shout now, we will just fight and ruin our friendship.'
Instead of reacting, Arjun said softly, "It's okay, Leo. It was just an accident. Let's just fix it together." Seeing Arjun's calmness, Leo's anger began to melt away. He felt ashamed of his outburst. Because Arjun chose to restrain his anger and wait for a better moment, the two friends didn't fight; instead, they worked together and finished an even more beautiful boat.
