The Lonely Pond

In a peaceful valley lived a young man named Arjun. Arjun was very wealthy; he owned vast lands and gold. However, he was a solitary man. He rarely spoke to his cousins, uncles, or neighbors. 'Why should I share my success with others?' he would often think. He lived in a grand mansion, surrounded by silence. One stormy night, a heavy flood hit the valley, and Arjun’s house was damaged. When he needed help to repair his home and felt lonely in the dark, he realized there was no one to call. A few days later, when he fell ill, his gold couldn't bring him a glass of water or comfort. He felt like a pond that had no banks to hold the water—it was just spreading aimlessly without purpose. Realizing his mistake, Arjun began visiting his relatives, sharing stories and meals. He learned that wealth is only meaningful when it is shared with the people who love you.
