In a beautiful village lived two brothers, Kadir and Maran. Their father was a hardworking farmer. One day, the father gave each brother a small piece of land and said, 'Whoever grows the best crop on this land will receive a special reward.'
Kadir was very diligent. Every morning, he woke up early, plowed the soil, sowed the seeds, and watered them carefully. Even when the sun was scorching or the rain was heavy, he never skipped his work. Maran, on the other hand, was very lazy. He would always say, 'I will do it tomorrow,' and go back to sleep. When his friends invited him to play, he chose play over his field.
Months passed. Kadir’s field was lush and green, filled with healthy crops. His hard work had brought a bountiful harvest. However, Maran’s land remained dry and barren, covered only with weeds and thorns. Maran felt deeply ashamed and sad. Instead of scolding him, Kadir kindly said, 'Don't be sad, Maran. Effort is the only way to change your fate.'
From that day on, Maran realized his mistake. He joined Kadir in the fields and worked hard. Eventually, both brothers worked together to make their family land prosperous.
