In a peaceful village, a young boy named Kadir lived with his father, Somu. Somu was a hardworking farmer. One year, heavy rains lasted for months, and a massive flood swallowed their small farm. All the crops were destroyed. Somu sat by the window, looking at the rising water with deep despair. Seeing his father's sadness, Kadir felt a heavy weight in his heart too.
However, Kadir decided not to let sadness win. He approached his father and said softly, "Father, don't be afraid. Once the water recedes, the soil will be even richer. We will plant new seeds, and they will grow stronger than before."
At first, Somu was too overwhelmed to listen. But Kadir didn't stop. He spent his days helping clear small drainage paths so the water wouldn't stay too long. Seeing his son's courage and clear-headedness, something shifted inside Somu. He realized that while the flood was huge, his son's wisdom was bigger. He regained his strength and decided to fight back. When the sun finally came out, they worked together to rebuild. Kadir’s steady mind had been the anchor that kept them from sinking in sorrow.
