In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun was very quick to give advice to everyone. One sunny afternoon, he saw his friend, Rohan, trying to plant a small sapling in their garden. Arjun ran over and said confidently, "Rohan, you shouldn't water the plant too much, or the roots will rot. You must also make sure the soil is loose and soft!"
Rohan listened carefully and followed Arjun's instructions. However, the next day, a heavy rain fell. Arjun, instead of checking on the plant as he had suggested, ran out to play in the rain with his friends. He completely forgot about the sapling. By the next morning, the little plant began to wilt because the soil had become too hard and waterlogged.
Rohan looked at the wilting plant and then at Arjun. "Arjun, it was so easy for you to tell me what to do," Rohan said sadly, "but it is much harder to actually do it. You gave the advice, but you didn't follow it yourself."
Arjun felt a sting of shame. He realized that giving grand advice is easy, but living by those words is the real challenge. From that day on, Arjun decided that he would only speak when he was ready to lead by example.
