Once, in a prosperous kingdom, lived King Vikram. He was a brave ruler, but he had a secret weakness: he was obsessed with playing dice. One day, a clever merchant approached him and whispered, 'Your Majesty, if you master this game, you will become the richest man in the world.' Tempted by the thought of easy wealth, Vikram began to play every single day.
At first, he won a few rounds, which made him feel invincible. But soon, the luck turned. He began losing gold, then jewels, and then the very treasures of his kingdom. His wise advisor, Madhav, pleaded with him, 'My King, please stop. This game is a trap that swallows everything.' But Vikram, blinded by greed, replied, 'Just one more throw, and I will win it all back!'
Years passed, and the royal treasury became empty. The kingdom fell into poverty, and eventually, neighboring kings took control of his lands. As Vikram sat alone in his empty palace, he realized that his obsession with the dice had cost him everything he once loved.
