In a peaceful village lived two friends, Somu and Ravi. Somu was known for his honesty, while Ravi always looked for easy ways to get ahead. One summer, the village announced a grand competition where the winner would receive a shiny gold coin.
Ravi desperately wanted that coin, but he didn't want to practice hard. During the race, Ravi saw an opportunity. As Somu, who was leading the race, passed by, Ravi intentionally tripped him with a small stick. Somu fell, and Ravi crossed the finish line first. However, the village elder saw the whole thing and disqualified Ravi.
Fearing the consequences, Ravi didn't feel sorry for his actions. Instead, he approached Somu and whispered, 'If you lie and say I didn't trip you, I will give you half my sweets.
