The Fading Glow

In a peaceful village lived a young woman named Ilavenil. She was known for her radiant smile, sparkling eyes, and a face that glowed with health. She was happily married to Kathir. However, after their marriage, Kathir’s job required him to travel frequently, leaving Ilavenil alone for long stretches. As the days passed, the loneliness began to weigh heavily on her heart. She spent her hours staring at the path, waiting for his return. The constant longing and sadness took a toll on her. She lost her appetite and struggled to sleep. Slowly, the vibrant girl everyone knew began to change. Her cheeks lost their rosy hue, her eyes grew dull, and her skin turned pale and sallow. One afternoon, her sister Nila noticed her and asked, "Sister, where has your brightness gone? You look so frail and unwell." With tears in her eyes, Ilavenil replied, "The ache of missing Kathir has stolen my joy and my beauty. My body is fading because my heart is heavy."
