In the heart of a lush, green forest lived a mighty bull named Vikram. One afternoon, Vikram discovered a spacious cave nestled beside a crystal-clear stream and a meadow filled with sweet grass. 'This is the perfect place for me to settle down!' Vikram thought with great excitement.
As he moved in, the local forest animals warned him, 'Vikram, be careful. This cave belongs to a fierce lion. If he returns, you will be in great danger.' But Vikram, being very proud of his strength, laughed it off. 'A lion? I am strong enough to handle anyone!' he boasted.
A few days later, while Vikram was resting peacefully outside his cave, a thunderous roar echoed through the trees. The lion, Sheru, had returned. For a moment, Vikram’s heart raced with fear. However, he quickly realized that strength alone wouldn't save him; he needed a plan.
Vikram shouted loudly toward the cave entrance, 'Friends! The guest of honor has arrived! Everyone, get ready for the grand feast! Let the cooking begin!' Hearing this, Sheru the lion froze in terror. 'A feast? Are there many bulls here waiting to eat me?' he wondered, panicking.
Terrified, Sheru bolted toward the edge of the forest. On his way, he met a cunning fox named Chintu. 'Why are you running so fast, Great King?' Chintu asked. Sheru gasped, 'The cave is filled with bulls waiting to devour me!' Chintu smirked, 'How is that possible? I saw only one bull there earlier.'
Wanting to play a trick, Chintu said, 'Don't worry, Majesty. Let us go and see for ourselves. To ensure you don't run away in fear, let's tie our tails together with this vine. I will stay right by your side.' The frightened lion agreed.
As they approached the cave, Vikram saw them coming. He called out loudly, 'Oh, clever Fox! You said you were bringing two lions, but why are you only bringing one?' Sheru, thinking the fox was leading him into a trap to be eaten, let out a terrified cry. He sprinted away with all his might, dragging Chintu along by the tied tails. In his frantic escape, Chintu was tossed against rocks and thorns, learning a hard lesson that playing with fear leads to trouble.
