In a vast, lush green forest, there lived four buffaloes who were the best of friends. They did everything together—grazing, resting, and wandering through the woods. Because they were always together, they were incredibly safe. Whenever a predator tried to attack one of them, the other three would quickly rush to its side, lowering their heavy horns to drive the danger away. No animal dared to challenge them.
A hungry leopard had been watching them for a long time. He was clever and knew that he could never defeat the four buffaloes as long as they stayed a team. 'I must wait for them to break their bond,' the leopard whispered to himself.
One sunny afternoon, a disagreement arose among the buffaloes. 'Why should we stay cooped up in this small area?' one buffalo argued. 'If we wander separately, we can find much better grass and more space to roam.' Slowly, the others agreed, thinking that independence would bring them more freedom.
They decided to part ways, heading toward different corners of the forest. The leopard, watching from the shadows, felt a surge of excitement. He began his hunt. One by one, as the buffaloes wandered alone, the leopard found them easy prey. Each time a buffalo fell, the forest grew quieter.
By the time the leopard approached the very last buffalo, it was too late for regrets. The lone buffalo realized, with a heavy heart, that its strength had come from its friends. 'If only we had stayed together, we would be safe today,' it thought sadly. But without its companions to defend it, the buffalo could not escape the leopard's grasp. The bond that once protected them was gone, and so were they.
Moral
Unity is strength; division leads to downfall.
