In a lush, green forest, animals and birds lived side by side. However, as time passed, the larger animals became quite rowdy and began to bully the smaller creatures and disturb the birds' nests. The birds felt unsafe and decided they needed to stand together to protect their homes.
All the birds gathered for a great meeting. The wise Parrot leader announced, "If we fly together and act as one, we can protect our forest!" The birds chirped in agreement, ready to defend their peace.
During the meeting, a Bat flew down. "I cannot join your side," the Bat said sneakily. "I look like a bird, but I behave more like an animal. I will stay neutral for now." The birds were disappointed but continued their planning.
Soon, the animals prepared for a confrontation. But the Lion, the king of the forest, realized that fighting would only bring destruction. "Why fight when we can live in peace?" the Lion suggested. The birds and animals agreed to a truce and became great friends. The forest became a place of joy and harmony.
When the celebrations began, the Bat arrived, hoping to join the fun. "Now that everyone is friends, can I join the party?" the Bat asked. The birds replied, "You refused to stand by us when we needed help. You are not one of us." Feeling rejected, the Bat flew to the animals, but they also said, "You chose to stay away when things were difficult. You cannot join us now."
Having tried to play both sides, the Bat found itself with no friends at all. It had to spend its nights alone in the dark shadows, learning too late that loyalty matters more than being clever.

Those who try to please everyone by being disloyal end up with no one.
