In a quiet village lived a young boy named Kavin. His father was a hardworking farmer who drove a bullock cart to support the family. Kavin had a grand dream: he wanted to own a massive farm and live a life of comfort and abundance.
One day, his teacher announced an exciting essay competition. The topic was, 'Who do you want to be in the future?' Kavin was thrilled. He sat down and wrote with great passion, 'I will be a very wealthy landowner. I will live in a huge mansion and own hundreds of animals.'
When the teacher read the essay, he called Kavin to his desk. "Kavin, your imagination is wonderful," the teacher said kindly, "but this is an essay about your goals. Right now, you have written a fairy tale. I want you to write about the person you want to become through your actions."
Kavin went home feeling a bit discouraged and shared this with his father. His father, wiping the sweat from his brow, smiled and said, "Son, dreaming is the first step. But if you only dream without a plan, people might laugh. Don't be afraid of their words. Instead, use them as fuel to work harder and turn that dream into reality."
The next day, Kavin submitted his essay. He didn't change his dream, but he changed his approach. Instead of saying, 'I will be rich,' he wrote, 'I will work with dedication and wisdom to build a successful farm.' He realized that a dream without a path is just a wish, but a dream with determination is a goal.
