In a peaceful village lived a young girl named Kavimathi. She had a small wooden box filled with her most precious treasures—shiny stones and colorful patterns she had collected. One afternoon, while her younger brother, Kathir, was playing nearby, he accidentally bumped into the box. It tumbled to the floor, and several of her favorite stones shattered. Kavimathi felt a sudden surge of anger. Her face turned red, and her heart raced. Kathir froze, terrified of her reaction. For a moment, Kavimathi wanted to scream and blame him harshly. But then, she remembered her father's words: 'True wisdom lies in mastering your own impulses.' She took a deep, slow breath and closed her eyes. She felt the heat of anger slowly fade away. Instead of shouting, she looked at Kathir and said softly, 'It’s okay, Kathir. Let’s clean this up together.' Kathir felt a wave of relief. Her father, watching from a distance, smiled with pride. By choosing self-control over an outburst, Kavimathi had shown a maturity far beyond her years.
