In a peaceful village lived two brothers, Ethan and Leo. Ethan was known for his quick temper; even the smallest mistake would make him boil with rage. Leo, on the other hand, was calm and kind.
One sunny afternoon, they were playing in the backyard. Ethan was swinging a wooden stick, playing pretend. In his excitement, he swung too wide and accidentally knocked over Leo's favorite toy tower, smashing it to pieces. Ethan’s face turned bright red. He felt a surge of anger and was about to yell at Leo and strike out in frustration.
Just then, their father stepped into the garden. He gently placed a hand on Ethan's shoulder. 'Ethan,' he said softly, 'feeling angry is natural. But the true strength lies in holding that anger back when it has the power to hurt someone. If you let it out now, you will hurt Leo's feelings and perhaps his body. Controlling your temper when it can cause harm is what makes you a wise man.'
Ethan took a deep breath. He looked at Leo's sad face and realized his mistake. Instead of shouting, he lowered the stick and said, 'I'm sorry, Leo. It was an accident.' By choosing not to let his anger cause damage, Ethan felt a sense of peace he had never known before.
