In a peaceful village lived two friends, Karthik and Rohan. Karthik was calm like a still lake, but Rohan was like a sudden thunderstorm; he would lose his temper over the smallest things. One sunny afternoon, the village held a gardening competition. Both boys were working hard on their flower beds.
Suddenly, Rohan tripped over a stone and accidentally crushed Karthik's beautiful rose seedling. Rohan's face turned red with rage. "Why did you plant it right here?" he screamed at Karthik. "You did this on purpose to trip me!" Karthik stayed silent, looking at the broken plant with sadness, but Rohan's anger only made him feel hollow and exhausted inside.
By shouting, Rohan had lost his friend's smile and his own peace of mind. Later that evening, Karthik sat beside him and said, "Anger is like a fire, Rohan. It burns the person carrying it before it ever touches anyone else." Rohan realized that his anger had made him feel dead inside, while Karthik's calmness made him feel alive. From that day on, Rohan practiced patience, learning that true strength lies in controlling one's temper.
