Once upon a time, in the peaceful kingdom of Chandrapur, lived a young king named Vikram. Vikram was kind-hearted, but he knew that ruling a kingdom was a huge responsibility. As he grew older, he needed to appoint his royal ministers. His childhood friend, Arjun, suggested, 'Vikram, why don't we appoint our closest friends? They know us best and will always support us.'
Vikram hesitated. He remembered his father's words: 'A king's ministers are like his eyes. If the eyes are clouded, the king cannot see the path ahead.' To test this, Vikram decided to observe two candidates: Rohan and Siddharth.
Rohan was very charming and always agreed with everything Vikram said. Siddharth, on the other hand, was quiet and often pointed out mistakes in Vikram's plans. To test them, Vikram presented a fake business proposal to both. He told Rohan, 'This plan will make us rich quickly, even if we skip a few rules.' Rohan smiled and agreed immediately. Then, he told Siddharth, 'This plan is a shortcut to wealth.' Siddharth shook his head and said, 'Your Majesty, shortcuts often lead to traps. We must follow the right path to ensure the kingdom's safety.'
A few months later, a real crisis arose regarding the kingdom's grain supply. Rohan, thinking only of quick gains, suggested selling the reserves for immediate profit. This would have left the people hungry during winter. Siddharth, however, had already prepared a plan to store grain safely for the future. Vikram realized that Rohan was only a friend, but Siddharth was a true guide. He appointed Siddharth as his Chief Minister, understanding that a king must choose ministers who see the truth, just as eyes see the world.
