In a peaceful valley lived three siblings: Somu, Ravi, and Kavita. Somu, the eldest, was a hardworking farmer who treated his land like a treasure. Ravi, the middle brother, was the opposite. He believed that work could always be pushed to 'tomorrow.' While Somu was out in the fields at dawn, Ravi would be fast asleep, dreaming of easy riches.
One year, a severe drought hit the valley. Somu worked tirelessly, digging new wells and managing his resources carefully to save his crops. Ravi, however, sat under the shade of a tree, waiting for the rain to do the work for him. He ignored the drying soil and the weakening cattle. Slowly, Ravi’s farm turned into a barren wasteland, and his livestock fell ill.

He sat by the river and wept. Somu found him and said gently, 'Ravi, laziness is a thief that steals not just your time, but the future of our entire family. If you don't move now, there will be nothing left to pass down.'
That moment changed Ravi. He stopped waiting for miracles and started working alongside Somu. Through hard work, he rebuilt his farm and regained his place in the family. He learned that a man's laziness is a shadow that darkens the lives of everyone he loves.
