In a peaceful village lived a young boy named Arjun. Arjun loved nature and dreamed of growing the most beautiful garden in the valley. One spring, he decided to plant a rare flowering shrub that was known to be very delicate.
Arjun worked hard every day, watering the soil and protecting the tiny sprout. However, a few weeks later, a violent storm swept through the village. Despite Arjun's best efforts to shield the plant, the heavy winds uprooted it completely. Arjun sat in the mud, weeping. 'Everything is ruined! I am a failure, and I will never plant anything again,' he sobbed.
His grandfather, a wise old man, sat beside him. 'Listen, Arjun,' he said gently. 'The wise follow two rules. First, never start something you know will lead to ruin. But second, if you have done your best and the result is a failure, do not let that failure break your spirit. A setback is not the end; it is a lesson.'
Arjun wiped his tears. He realized that his mistake wasn't in trying, but in wanting to give up because of a storm. He gathered new seeds, built a small protective fence this time, and started again with a stronger heart.
