In a peaceful village, there lived two friends named Arjun and Vikram. They both managed small vegetable gardens. One afternoon, a neighbor accidentally trampled some of Arjun's plants while walking through the path. Seeing this, Vikram grew furious. 'He did it on purpose!' Vikram shouted. 'We should go to his house, shout at him, and ruin his garden too!'
Arjun, however, remained calm. 'Vikram, fighting will only bring us more anger and waste our time. Let's focus on our own work; that is the best response,' he said gently.
Vikram refused to listen. He spent his days talking about the neighbor, planning ways to get back at him, and feeling bitter. Because his mind was always filled with resentment, he neglected his own garden, and his crops eventually withered away.
Arjun, on the other hand, chose to let the incident go. He put all his energy into nurturing his plants. Soon, Arjun’s garden became the most prosperous in the village. Vikram realized too late that while he was busy feeding his anger, Arjun was busy building his future.
