In a peaceful village lived a young man named Kari. Kari was clever, but he had a troubling habit: he didn't care about doing what was right, nor did he care what people thought of him. One summer, the villagers decided to build a large community well to help everyone during the dry season. Kari's friend, Arjun, advised him, 'Kari, we must follow the proper steps and use the best stones, otherwise, the well won't last.'
Kari ignored the advice. He thought the rules were boring. To finish his work faster, he used weak, cracked stones at the bottom of the well, thinking, 'No one will notice, and it doesn't matter if I'm criticized.' However, when the first heavy rain came, the well collapsed, causing great trouble for the village. People were disappointed and angry with him. Arjun looked at him sadly and said, 'Kari, because you didn't learn from the wise, didn't care about your mistakes, and lacked good character, you have lost everyone's trust.' Kari realized that his disregard for virtue had made him an outcast, and he promised to change his ways.
