In a lush green forest lived a donkey named Somu. Somu was incredibly lazy and spent his days looking for shortcuts to get food without doing any hard work.
One afternoon, while wandering near the edge of the woods, Somu stumbled upon an old, discarded skin of a tiger. A mischievous idea flashed in his mind. 'If I wear this skin, everyone will think I am a fierce tiger! They will be too scared to stop me, and I can take whatever I want,' he thought greedily.
Somu carefully draped the tiger skin over his back and slowly approached a nearby village. When the villagers saw a large tiger walking through their streets, they screamed in terror and ran into their homes, leaving their baskets of vegetables and fruits unattended.
Somu chuckled to himself. He walked up to a basket, grabbed a bundle of fresh carrots and cucumbers, and trotted back to the forest. 'This is wonderful!' he thought. 'No more heavy lifting or hard work. This disguise is perfect!'
The next day, Somu felt even bolder. He returned to the village to find more treats. However, the villagers were observant. A wise farmer noticed something strange. 'Wait a minute,' he whispered to the others. 'A tiger would never carry a basket of grains. Something is not right here.'
Curious and suspicious, the villagers followed the 'tiger' quietly at a distance. As Somu reached the safety of the trees, he began to feel very happy with his success. In his excitement, he started singing a loud, joyful song.
'Hee-haw! Hee-haw!' The sound was unmistakable. The villagers realized it was just a donkey in a costume. They rushed out from their hiding places, shouting and waving sticks. Somu tried to run, but the villagers chased him away, teaching him a lesson he would never forget. Somu realized that living a lie only leads to trouble.
Moral
Deception may bring temporary gain, but the truth will always come to light.
