In a lush green valley, there lived a flock of sheep. Among them was a young lamb named Chintu. Chintu was very energetic, but he had one big weakness: he loved eating so much that he often lost track of everything else. One sunny afternoon, the flock wandered into a meadow filled with sweet clover. Chintu found a patch of particularly delicious herbs and began munching away happily.
As the sun began to set, the elder sheep signaled the flock to head back to the safety of the village. However, Chintu was so engrossed in his feast that he didn't hear the call. By the time he realized he was alone, the forest was growing dark and shadows were stretching long across the ground.
Suddenly, a pair of glowing eyes appeared from behind a bush. A large, hungry wolf stepped out, blocking Chintu's path. Chintu’s heart raced with fear, and his legs trembled. But he knew that running would only make the wolf chase him harder. He had to think fast.
Chintu took a deep breath and spoke in a calm, trembling voice, "Mr. Wolf, I know you are hungry and I am your dinner. But before you eat me, may I ask for one tiny favor? I have spent my whole life eating, but I have never had the chance to dance to a beautiful song. If you howl loudly, I will dance with all my might, and then you can catch me easily."
The wolf, being quite vain, thought this sounded like a fun way to enjoy his meal. He lifted his head toward the sky and let out a long, thunderous howl. The sound echoed through the trees and reached the ears of the shepherd's hunting dogs nearby. Hearing the wolf's howl, the dogs barked loudly and rushed toward the sound.
The wolf, terrified by the approaching dogs, turned and bolted into the deep forest. A few moments later, Chintu’s mother and the rest of the flock arrived, having searched for him. After hearing how Chintu had used his wits to trick the predator, his mother hugged him tightly, proud of his bravery and quick thinking.
