In a lush green forest, there lived a clever cat named Kapi. Kapi was always looking for a way to catch the birds, but it was never easy. The birds in this forest were very wise; they always listened to the advice of their elders and stayed alert to any movement in the bushes.
One afternoon, Kapi overheard a conversation among the birds. They were worried because the eldest bird of the flock was feeling unwell. Kapi saw this as a golden opportunity. 'If I can just trick them into letting me near their nest, I can have a feast!' the cat thought greedily.
Kapi came up with a sneaky plan. It found an old pair of spectacles and a small bag to carry. To complete the disguise, Kapi wrapped itself in a clean white cloth to look like a doctor. Walking slowly toward the great oak tree where the birds lived, Kapi called out in a soft, gentle voice, "Dear birds! Do not be afraid. I am a specialist bird doctor. I heard your leader is ill, and I have come to help."
The birds gathered at the edge of their branches, looking suspicious. A young, observant sparrow flew closer and looked Kapi up and down. The sparrow noticed how thin and bony the cat looked. With a clever twinkle in its eye, the sparrow asked, "Oh, Great Doctor, why are you so thin and weak? If you have been treating so many birds with your medicines, shouldn't you be the healthiest animal in the forest?"
Kapi froze. The small bird had seen right through the disguise. The cat's hunger had made it so thin that it couldn't even pretend to be a healthy doctor. Realizing the trick was discovered, Kapi turned around and ran away into the shadows. The birds chirped happily, knowing that their wisdom had kept them safe once again.
