In a peaceful village school, there lived a bright student named Arul. Arul was known for his sharp mind, but he often found himself caught up in the playful chatter of his friends.

One afternoon, while the teacher was explaining a difficult lesson, Arul and a group of his classmates were whispering and giggling in the back row. The teacher stopped writing on the board and turned around sternly. "Who is making that noise?" he demanded. The classroom fell into a heavy silence. Everyone looked at Arul, hoping he wouldn't speak up.

To teach them a lesson, the teacher decided on a unique challenge. "I will ask a few questions about today's lesson," he announced. "Those who answer correctly may stay in their seats. However, those who cannot answer must stand on their desks."

As the questions became harder, Arul answered every single one perfectly. Yet, when the teacher finished, Arul did not sit down. Instead, he climbed up onto his desk alongside his friends.

The puzzled classmates whispered, "Arul, you knew all the answers! Why are you standing on the desk with us?"

Arul looked at them calmly and said, "I may have known the answers, but I was part of the distraction. I shared in the mischief, so I must also share in the consequence. I cannot enjoy the reward of knowledge while my friends face the penalty for our shared mistake."

The teacher was deeply moved by Arul's integrity. The other students, moved by his courage, realized that being a leader means taking responsibility, not just being right.
