Long, long ago, the Sun was not just a bright light, but a kingdom of colors. Seven color spirits lived there: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. They were all wonderful friends, working together to bring beauty to the world.
Among them, Blue was a bit different. She was very proud of her brilliant shade. "Look at me!" she would boast to the others. "I am the most striking and beautiful of all. The rest of you are just background colors!" This arrogance made the other spirits feel sad, but they remained kind to her.
One day, as the colors began their journey from the Sun toward the Earth, they had to pass through the thick layer of the atmosphere. The tiny particles in the air were the guardians of this path. When Blue arrived, she started bragging again, "Move aside, little dust particles! Let the most beautiful color pass through!"
The air particles grew tired of her vanity. "You are too proud, Blue," they said firmly. "The other colors respect us and travel peacefully. But since you think you are so special, we will not let you travel in a straight line to the Earth!"
As the journey continued, Red, Yellow, and the others passed smoothly through the air and reached the ground. But Blue was different. Every time she tried to move forward, the air particles bumped into her, scattering her light in every direction. Instead of traveling in a straight beam, she began to dance and bounce all around the sky.
The Sun sighed and said, "Blue, if you were humble, you could reach the Earth just like your friends. But your pride has made you wander everywhere."
Because Blue was scattered so widely by the tiny particles, whenever we look up from Earth, the entire sky appears to be filled with her beautiful blue color. Even the vast oceans reflect her scattered light. So, the next time you see a bright blue sky, remember the proud spirit who learned to dance among the clouds!

Pride scatters our path, but humility allows us to reach our destination gracefully.
