In a lush green forest lived a gentle rabbit named Pip. Pip loved hopping through the meadows, searching for the sweetest clover. One bright afternoon, while Pip was nibbling on grass, a massive eagle named Aquila swooped down from the clouds. Aquila was hungry and had his eyes set on the small rabbit.
Just as the eagle prepared to strike, Buzz, a tiny but brave honeybee, flew into the fray. Buzz and Pip were the best of friends. "Please, Great Eagle, leave my friend alone! He is harmless!" Buzz pleaded, hovering right in front of the eagle's sharp beak.
Aquila, however, was not in a merciful mood. He snapped his beak at Buzz, trying to scare him away. In the chaos of the struggle, the eagle's talons caught Pip before the bee could intervene. In a flash, the rabbit was gone. Buzz watched in horror, his heart breaking for his lost friend.
Filled with grief and anger, Buzz made a solemn vow. "You took my friend's life, and I will not rest until you learn the cost of your cruelty!" he declared. From that day on, every time Aquila built a nest, Buzz would find it. Whether it was on a high cliff or a sturdy branch, Buzz would swoop in and knock the eggs out of the nest.
Aquila became furious. He flew to the heavens to seek justice from the Great Spirit. The Spirit, feeling pity for the eagle, decided to protect the eggs by holding them safely in his divine hands. But Buzz was relentless. He carried a heavy pebble and dropped it right onto the Spirit's hands, causing the eggs to fall and shatter once more.
The Great Spirit summoned both creatures. Aquila cried, "Is it a crime to eat what nature provides?" while Buzz sobbed, "You took a life without mercy!"
Seeing that neither would yield, the Great Spirit created a natural balance. He decreed that the seasons of the eagle and the bee would never overlap. When the eagles lay their eggs, the bees will be in hibernation, and when the bees are most active, the eagles will not be nesting. Thus, peace was restored through the rhythm of nature.
Moral
Vengeance only leads to more loss; balance is the ultimate way to find peace.
