In a peaceful village near a lush green forest lived an elderly man named Somu. He was once a wealthy man, but now he lived a simple life in a small hut. One sunny afternoon, Somu met his dear friends, Vidya and Raghu, who were traveling through the area.
Vidya was known for her immense generosity, and Raghu was a man of great compassion. While walking along the dusty path, they encountered a poor beggar who looked very hungry and tired. Moved by his condition, Vidya took off a beautiful diamond ring from her finger and placed it in the beggar's hand. The beggar’s eyes lit up with hope.
However, as the beggar hurried home to celebrate his luck, a thief lurking in the shadows snatched the ring right out of his hand and vanished into the trees. The poor man was heartbroken and sat by the roadside, weeping.
The next day, Vidya and Raghu passed by the same spot and saw the man crying. Feeling sorry for him, Vidya gave him a small gold coin to help him buy some food.
The beggar went to the local market and used the coin to buy a small fish from a young boy. As he watched the fish splashing in its tiny glass jar, something incredible happened. The fish suddenly coughed up the sparkling diamond ring! It had been swallowed by the fish during the thief's struggle.
At that very moment, the thief, feeling a sudden pang of guilt after seeing the beggar's sadness, approached the man. He realized that stealing from someone so needy was wrong. He handed back the diamond ring and the stolen gold coins.
Vidya was amazed by the turn of events. Raghu smiled and said, "You see, Vidya? When we give with a pure heart, the universe finds a way to return it to us, often in ways we never expected."
