In a cozy little village lived a kind grandfather named Somu. He had many grandchildren who loved visiting him during their school holidays. The house was always filled with laughter and games. One sunny afternoon, as they were preparing for a family feast, Grandpa Somu suddenly looked very worried.
"Oh no! My precious golden diary is missing!" he exclaimed, searching frantically through his desk. Immediately, all the grandchildren rushed to help. They began running around the room, pulling cushions off the sofa, opening every drawer, and shouting to one another, "Is it under the rug?" "Did you check the cupboard?"
The room became a chaotic mess of noise and movement. After twenty minutes of searching, the children were exhausted and frustrated. "It's nowhere to be found, Grandpa!" they cried out.
Amidst the chaos, a young boy named Kavin decided to do something different. Instead of joining the shouting, he sat quietly in a corner and closed his eyes. He didn't move or make a sound. While the others were busy making noise, Kavin was listening to the rhythm of the room.
Suddenly, Kavin’s eyes snapped open. He walked slowly toward an old wooden chest in the corner. He leaned down, and there it was—the golden diary had slipped behind a small gap in the chest. He gently picked it up and handed it to his grandfather.
"Kavin, how on earth did you find it? We looked everywhere!" the other children asked in amazement.
Grandpa Somu smiled warmly and said, "Kavin used a special strength. When you all were searching loudly, the noise prevented you from noticing anything small. But because Kavin stayed quiet, he could hear the faint 'tick-tock' of the small clock inside the diary. Silence isn't just the absence of noise; it is the presence of focus."
The children realized that sometimes, to find an answer, you don't need to run faster or shout louder; you just need to be still.
