In a peaceful countryside farm, there lived a bright and energetic rooster named Mani. Mani was known among the other birds for his curious nature and sharp eyes.
One sunny morning, while pecking for seeds in the lush green meadow, Mani spotted something sparkling brilliantly near a bush. It was a magnificent, glowing blue gemstone! Mesmerized by its shimmering light, Mani picked it up with his beak and ran to show his friends. "Look at this treasure I have found!" he crowed proudly, wanting everyone to admire his discovery.
An old, wise rooster who had seen many seasons approached Mani. "Mani, that object is beautiful, but it does not belong to us. It is a human treasure. While it looks grand, it might bring more trouble than joy to those who find it or lose it," the elder warned gently.
At first, Mani didn't quite understand. However, moments later, the farmhouse became a scene of great commotion. The farmer rushed out, looking distressed. "My wife's precious blue stone is missing!" he cried out in despair. Seeing the sadness and panic on the humans' faces, Mani realized that the beautiful stone he held was actually causing great pain to a family.
Remembering the old rooster's words, Mani understood that true happiness doesn't come from owning things that don't belong to us. He carefully carried the gemstone and placed it right in the middle of the walking path where it would be easily seen.
Soon, the farmer spotted the sparkling stone. The look of immense relief and the joyful smile on his face made Mani feel a sense of peace. He realized that seeing others happy was far more rewarding than keeping a treasure that caused sorrow.
