In a cozy burrow near the edge of a lush forest lived a family of rabbits. Among them was Buzzy, a tiny bunny with a very big curiosity. Buzzy loved exploring, but sometimes his curiosity led him into trouble.
One sunny morning, Mother Rabbit had to travel to the nearby village for some supplies. Before leaving, she gathered all her little ones and said firmly, "Listen carefully. You may play in our meadow, but do not ever go into the farmer's garden across the fence. The farmer is very strict, and it is not safe for you there."
The other bunnies listened and stayed in the meadow, playing tag in the soft grass. But Buzzy couldn't stop thinking about that garden. 'What could be so scary about a garden?' he wondered. 'It probably has the sweetest clover in the world!'
Driven by hunger and curiosity, Buzzy crept through a small gap in the wooden fence. As he stepped inside, he gasped. The garden was a paradise! Huge, bright orange carrots and crisp green lettuce grew in perfect rows. Buzzy immediately began nibbling on a juicy carrot.
Suddenly, a heavy shadow fell over him. 'Thump! Thump! Thump!' The farmer was walking down the path, carrying a large watering can. Seeing the bunny, the farmer shouted, "Hey! You little thief! Get out of my garden!" and began chasing him.
Buzzy's heart raced. He scrambled through the leaves, but the farmer was gaining on him. Just then, he spotted an old, empty clay pot sitting near a bush. Without thinking, Buzzy dove inside the pot and stayed perfectly still. He could hear the farmer's heavy footsteps passing right by him. The farmer looked around, grumbled something about pests, and eventually walked away to tend to other plants.
Waiting until the coast was clear, Buzzy carefully climbed out and raced back through the fence, straight to the safety of his burrow. He arrived home trembling and exhausted. Mother Rabbit had prepared a delicious warm vegetable stew for dinner. However, Buzzy was so shaken and tired that he couldn't even take a single bite. He curled up and fell into a restless sleep, realizing that his mother's warning was meant to keep him safe, not to stop his fun.
Moral
Always listen to the warnings of those who care for you.
