In a lush green forest, a pack of foxes lived together, sharing everything they found. Among them was a young fox named Kavi. Kavi had a limp in his hind leg, which made it difficult for him to hunt alongside the others. Because he couldn't contribute much, the other foxes gave him only the smallest scraps of food. Feeling ashamed and lonely, Kavi decided to wander away from the pack to find food on his own.

One evening, while scavenging near a nearby village, Kavi accidentally tumbled into a large vat left outside a carpenter's shed. The vat was filled with thick, black ink. When Kavi climbed out, his entire fur was stained a deep, midnight black. As he crept back into the forest, the other animals gasped in terror. They had never seen such a strange, dark creature before and fled into the bushes.

Kavi went to the river to drink, and as he looked at his reflection, a mischievous idea took root. "If they think I am a monster, they will serve me!" he thought. He stood on a high rock and roared as loudly as he could, "Listen, forest dwellers! I am a Great Shadow Beast! From now on, you must bring me the finest fruits and meats, or I shall hunt you all!"

Terrified, the animals obeyed. For many days, Kavi lived like a king, being fed by the very animals he had deceived. However, nature has a way of revealing the truth. One night, a massive thunderstorm rolled in. The heavy rain lashed down for hours, washing away every bit of the black ink from Kavi's fur. The next morning, as the sun rose, the animals saw a regular, brown fox standing by the river. Realizing they had been tricked, the animals chased Kavi out of the forest. Kavi learned that a life built on lies is as fragile as ink in the rain.
