In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. He was known for his calm nature and kind heart. His neighbor, Rohan, was quite the opposite. Rohan often teased Arjun and would play mean pranks on him just to see him upset. One afternoon, Arjun was working hard on a beautiful painting he had spent days creating. Suddenly, Rohan ran past and intentionally spilled ink all over the paper, ruining it. Arjun felt a sharp sting of sadness and anger in his chest. Rohan just laughed and ran away.
Arjun's friend, Leo, saw this and was furious. 'Why didn't you yell at him, Arjun? He was so mean to you!' Leo exclaimed. Arjun took a deep breath and replied, 'If I react with anger and try to hurt him back, I am just becoming like him. I don't want to lose my goodness because of his mistakes.'
A week later, while playing in the park, Rohan tripped heavily and hurt his leg badly. While some children laughed at his clumsiness, Arjun immediately ran to his side. He helped Rohan stand up and stayed with him until help arrived. Rohan, feeling ashamed, whispered, 'Why are you helping me after what I did?' Arjun smiled gently and said, 'What you did was wrong, but responding with kindness is the right thing to do.' Rohan realized his mistake and apologized. From that day on, they became the best of friends.
