In a peaceful village lived a boy named Arjun. His father was the respected priest of the local temple. Arjun always wore spotless white clothes and sat quietly in the temple, looking very pious. The villagers would often praise him, saying, 'Look how wonderful and holy that boy is!' However, one afternoon, while playing with his friend Rohan, Arjun accidentally broke Rohan's favorite toy. Fearing a scolding, Arjun quickly hid the broken toy under a bush and pretended nothing happened. That evening, as he helped his father in the temple, he looked as calm and holy as ever. But inside, Arjun's heart was heavy. Even though he looked perfect on the outside, the secret mistake in his mind kept him restless and unhappy. He realized that his holy appearance meant nothing if his heart was hiding a lie. Finally, Arjun went to Rohan, confessed his mistake, and apologized. Only then did he feel a true sense of peace.
Arjun learned that being good on the outside is empty if the mind is clouded by wrongdoing.
