In a bright little village lived a boy named Arjun. Arjun loved looking handsome. He always wore the finest silk clothes and shiny accessories. Everyone admired how neat and well-dressed he was. His best friend, Rohan, was quite different. Rohan wore simple clothes, but his eyes always sparkled with the stories he read in his books.
One sunny afternoon, a wise scholar visited the village. He announced a grand quiz competition, promising a golden medal to the winner. Arjun was excited. 'With my confident look, I will surely win!' he thought to himself.
When the competition began, the questions were about history, nature, and the world. Arjun sat there, looking perfectly groomed, but his mind was blank. He couldn't answer a single question. Rohan, however, listened carefully and answered every question with calm confidence. Rohan won the golden medal.
Arjun felt very sad that evening. His grandfather sat beside him and said softly, 'Arjun, you are a very handsome boy. But remember, beauty without knowledge is like a painted clay doll. A doll looks beautiful on the outside, but it cannot think, speak, or act. Knowledge is what gives true life and value to a person.'
Arjun understood. From that day on, he spent less time in front of the mirror and more time with his books.
