In the prosperous kingdom of Chandrapur, lived a young prince named Vikram. Vikram was very proud of his golden spear. 'This spear is my greatest strength,' he would boast. 'It has helped me win many training battles.'
One summer, a dispute arose in a small village. Two farmers, Ravi and Somu, were arguing over a piece of fertile land. Ravi claimed the land had belonged to his family for generations, while Somu produced a piece of paper saying the land was his. The villagers were worried and turned to Prince Vikram for justice.
Vikram initially thought that showing his strength and his spear would solve the problem. But as he sat in his court, he realized that a spear could only fight, not decide what was right. He picked up his small wooden sceptre instead. He listened patiently to Ravi’s story of hard work and examined Somu’s documents carefully. He realized that while Somu had the paper, Ravi had the true history of the soil.
Instead of choosing one side blindly, Vikram made a fair decision. He granted Somu his legal right but ensured Ravi was given enough land to sustain his family, ensuring no one suffered an injustice. The villagers cheered, not for his strength, but for his fairness. Vikram finally understood that his spear might win a battle, but only his just decisions could win the hearts of his people.
